Sand Availability

For our Grasspave2 porous paving, we prefer a clean sharp sand (washed concrete sand- AASHTO M6 or ASTM C-33) to fill the 25 mm (one inch) high rings and spaces between the rings. Major home centers and hardware stores have Quickcrete® All Purpose sand that meets our specification.

Pull Apart Strength (tensile) = 458 lbf/in

Invisible Structures has recently tested the structural integrity of our snap-fit connectors feature found on the Gravelpave2, Grasspave2, Draincore2 and Slopetame2 products. One full snap feature was placed in a Grab Tensile test machine and tested to the testing standard ASTM D638 Modified. Pulled at 2 in/min, the material only deformed, it never fractured. The Tensile Yield Strength was determined to be 458 lbf/in. The connection between two panels of our rolled products is robust enough for all installed conditions.
