Gym 2000, Castle Rock, Colorado

Project Name: Gym 2000

After excavation is complete, workers put a layer of geogrid on the bottom of the area for stabilization.

The 21 unit high cell stacks are lifted into the hole.

An opening is left in the chamber for a maintenance port to be added later.

Summary: Onsite stormwater – from the Gym 2000 site and adjacent Day Care building site – filters in through the vegetated swale and also enters through inlets in high volume cases. The required position of the detention system and the amount of stormwater containment needed made Rainstore3 the only choice in this situation. An above ground (open) detention pond was not used for safety reasons: children frequent the area.
