Courtyard by Marriott

Project Summary

The Courtyard site was very nice. For comparison visit the Brighton Gardens by Marriott just down the street from this location on the corner of Dunham and Foxfield at 600 Dunham. The client for both projects is Marriott, both are fire lanes, but the second one is in grasscrete or some kind of concrete paver, a very noticeable installation.

Permeable paving was installed in the fire lane areas at Marriott Assisted Living in St. Charles, Michigan, using Grasspave2.
Fire lane is an extension of the street toward this fire hydrant. Note the attached pole so that the hydrant can be located in the winter should snow levels cover the top. Even grass fire lanes should be plowed when snowfall exceeds 3”.

Note how the Grasspave2 installation is disguised and looks like surrounding turf areas.
A reinforced grass system was installed in the fire lane access areas, in addition to this other product, at Marriott Assisted Living in St. Charles, Michigan, using Grasspave2.
Bright Gardens by Marriott just down the street on Dunham from the Courtyard installation. A concrete porous paver (not Grasspave2) was used as a secondary fire truck access lane.
Porous paving was installed in the fire lane access areas, in addition to this other product, at Marriott Assisted Living in St. Charles, Michigan, using Grasspave2.
Not made of Grasspave2 - This emergency access lane is easy to identify
