Project Profile:

Danbury Park

Project Summary

Many housing and apartment complexes have secondary access lanes for emergencies. Primary access points are always hard surface pavement. Secondary and Tirciary access can be designed using our Grasspave2 system as shown on this job. It’s helpful to disguise the access point so that residents won’t use the lane as a shortcut.

Reinforced-Grass Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at Danbury Park in Aurora, Colorado, using Grasspave2.
Close up of double-wide fire truck entrance gate. There isn’t a mountable curb to indicate the lane, but fire trucks have large tires to get over just about anything, even a regular curb.
Permeable Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at Danbury Park in Aurora, Colorado, using Grasspave2.
Normally some signage would be posted and the curb would be painted red. Perhaps there is an electronic locator box.
