Grass Pavers were used in the fire lane access area at a Fairfield Cypress Palms hotel in Orlando, Florida, using Grasspave2.
Fire lane entrance looks like a pedestrian sidewalk to most of the public.
Porous Pavement was installed in the fire lane using Grasspave2.
Introducing curves in the sidewalk gives the impression of meandering through a garden. Introducing an elevated planter next to the fire lane adds interest.
Pervious Pavers were installed in this fire lane access area using Grasspave2.
Stormwater catch basin also would collect excess water from fighting fires. Having porous paving helps absorb those Florida flash rains. Note the placement of the hydrant. There is another one at the front end of the emergency access.
