Project Summary

The photographs are of the original installation from 1999. In 2002, the Airport added more toll gates so the area is somewhat changed on the south side. Doug Patterson from Stone Age Pavers said that it is hard to tell that any of the Grasspave2 fire lane changed.

Permeable Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at Fort Lauderdale International Airport Hibiscus Parking Garage, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, using Grasspave2.
West side closest to the terminal has an outdoor garden with seating overlooking the grass fire lane. Ring road entrance is in the NW corner, behind the camera.
Grass Paving was installed in the fire lane access areas at Fort Lauderdale International Airport Hibiscus Parking Garage, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, using Grasspave2.
Pedestrian walkway from the terminal to the parking garage has reinforced fire lane on both sides.
Pervious Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at Fort Lauderdale International Airport Hibiscus Parking Garage, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, using Grasspave2.
South side looking toward the terminal in the distance, shows the flush concrete curbing chosen for delineating the Grasspave2 fire lane. Hydrants are positioned in the planting beds.
