Metropolitan Place
Project Summary
Gravelpave2 is used as a gravel stabilization matrix and as a cushion for the pedestrians and joggers. Gravelpave2 is more pleasant to walk on than unsupported aggregate or concrete. Phase II of the project (an additional rooftop garden) - slated for installation in 2005 - will also incorporate Gravelpave2 in a similar application.

Concrete curbing delineates the trail and Gravelpave2.

Glacial Landscaping says that the Gravelpave2 went in quite smoothly. They did state that because of the curves, a significant amount of cutting and reshaping was done.

The Terra Cotta Gravelpave2 is camouflaged nicely in the crushed red granite.

An exposed ring can be fixed quite easily by brushing gravel toward the emptied area.

A shot of the Gravelpave2 rolls before installation. Gravelpave2 should be stored in a vertical position, not horizontal as shown.

An addtional shot of the area before Gravelpave2 installation.

The view down Washington Avenue shows the Wisconsin State Capitol - see the project profile for the Capitol, where Grasspave2 is installed.
