Project Profile:

St. James Place Club

Project Summary

This apartment complex is like many others where GP2 is used because there is a need to provide a short cut access lane for fire trucks. Circulation around apartments requires more than one access point. When GP2 is used, the emergency lane is concealed to the public. To find these access points, look for a fire hydrant and double-wide entry gates.

This shot makes this photo quite dark, look for the fire hydrant, the edge of the hard surface parking lot and the double-wide gates that provide access from the street.

Double-wide gates secure the property and provide access for fire trucks over the grass to the street shown in the background.

Grass fire lane with GP2 provides access for emergency vehicles from the street on the right, across the grass, and through the double-wide gates into the apartment parking lot. Perhaps there should be some delineation. The rest of the perimeter fencing is solid wall.
