Project Profile:

The Woods at Hollytree

Project Summary

This is a nice facility with an L-shaped fire lane entering off the north side of the property Holly Tree Road. There is a cut curb at the street on the northwest side of the building that proceeds to the back and turns around the end of the building and goes the full length of that arm as well for a total of 1,160 m2 of GP2. The maintenance program is very good. While you are in Wilmington, there is another job called Hanover Medical Center which is also profiled here on the web.

The street is just behind the camera, where the fire lane begins, and continues along the whole length of the building with the pond on the left.
Grid Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at The Woods at Hollytree (Retirement Living) in Wilmington, North Carolina, using Grasspave2.
View of the GP2 fire lane from that far corner looking back toward the street ( pond is now on the right). The lane goes around the building here to the left.
Porous Pavement was installed in the fire lane access areas at The Woods at Hollytree (Retirement Living) in Wilmington, North Carolina, using Grasspave2.
Backing down the fire lane behind the building, this is the GP2 area adjacent to the sidewalk and with the vegetation on the right.
Grass-Reinforcement Mats were installed in the fire lane access areas at The Woods at Hollytree (Retirement Living) in Wilmington, North Carolina, using Grasspave2.
Again looking backward toward the corner in the distance (center of the picture), the GP2 fire lane continues to have the sidewalk on one side and shrubs on the other
Pervious-Grass Paving was installed in the fire lane access areas at The Woods at Hollytree (Retirement Living) in Wilmington, North Carolina, using Grasspave2.
This is the far corner of the GP2 fire lane and you can now see the full length of the back side section. The invisible fire lane is a very attractive green space element to this development.
Turf Pavers were installed in the fire lane access areas at The Woods at Hollytree (Retirement Living) in Wilmington, North Carolina, using Grasspave2.
At this corner you can see the fire hydrant marking the extremity of the fire lane paved with Grasspave2 mats hidden in the grass and laid over a strong base course that supports fire vehicles.
