Project Summary
The Stadium, designed by Populous and VFO Architects, was set out to integrate the site with the surrounding area. More than one third of the site will be green areas, including the 30,000 square meters (323,000 sq ft) of Grasspave2 parking. The stadium will accommodate 50,000 visitors mainly fans of theRayados Football (Soccer) club, CF Monterrey. Grasspave2 was used to filter and restore rainwater back to existing aquifers. The parking lot is distributed around the stadium and integrates the existing wooded areas. The Stadium will also be integrated, via parking and green space, with a future Ecological Park. 22,400 square feet of Gravelpave2 was installed in some drive aisle and parking areas to increase the perviousness of the site.
