Project Summary
The homeowners could not excavate down for a proper depth of base course because of sprinkler lines and city utility lines. Instead, they used Grasspave2 filled with sand as a base stabilizer. Grasspave2 is equal to 5 inches of compacted base when filled. A proper base ensures the patio will not sink. A layer of sand for leveling purposes was added on top of the sand filled Grasspave2.
