Project Profile:
Allegro Apartments – Update
Project Summary
This is a nice mature site that has been well maintained. Grasspave2 fire lanes allow designers to create a pedestrian mall appearance within a multi-residence complex and also provide for fire truck access over the lawn areas. Having grass for fire lanes reduces urban heat and that is really important in warm climates.

View of leasing office and front entry sign. This property is well maintained.
Look for the red painted mountable curb and sidewalks. Note that the fire lane sign is mounted in the middle of the sidewalk and is probably removable.
Vertical bollards left and right mark the width of the fire lane. Grass is green in both the reinforced areas and other lawn landscaping. A good maintenance program such as this will include micronutrient NPK fertilizers.
Some of the vertical bollards that define the fire lane are actually sidewalk lights as shown here on the left. The grass in the fore ground and back toward the ring road is reinforced with Grasspave2.
Facing toward the ring road, you see the perimeter carport parking, fire hydrant on the right, bollards, and fire lane sign again in the middle of the sidewalk.
On the right side of the photo you will note the use of a flush concrete curb to mark the edge of the fire lane.
The fire lanes are also marked at the terminus with another vertical sign. GP2 is located from the ring road in the background to this sign.
