Project Profile:
Frostburg State University
Project Summary
Before Gravelpave2, this lot was a muddy mess and potential water runoff going into a stream bordering the south side of the lot made paving with asphalt undesirable. There is a long center aisle with parking bays on each side. Cashew brown Gravelpave2 was chosen to match the clean sharp gravel. Wooden rail fences act as car stops in most sections. Instead of trying to stripe the parking slots, a small piece of white tape wrapped over the top fence rail marks the car center spacing. Some stone above the top of the rings will migrate to the outside edges of the aisle, toward the parking bays, which is not very noticeable or objectionable. Stone left on top of the rings will migrate because there is no containment.

This photo illustrates how well the students park without pavement striping. You will note that there is a good blend of stone color with product color.

Good car spacing seems natural without the necessity of pavement striping.
