Project Profile:
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
Project Summary
The church needed to increase parking spaces for its parishioners. Condos were built surrounding the church area and parishioners were getting paring tickets for parking in condo spaces. Because of the arid conditions and water rights, The State of Colorado requires that all stormwater be placed back into the groundwater supply or into approved sewer systems. Stormwater detention is practiced.

Workers excavate the chamber area.

A shot of the fabric and some backfill over the Rainstore3 units.

Workers prepare.

Before installation, RS3 units were stored on pallets in cell stacks of six high.

This is the low end of the asphalt parking lot where the stormwater drains into the inlet shown in the crook of the curb corner.

The Rainstore3 installation is under the newly seeded lawn area to the right.

Having the stormwater detention basin underground allows for recreation on the lawn. This will look beautiful when the grass matures.
