Project Profile:

Portage Lift Station

Project Summary

This is a valuable application of Grasspave2 that is used as a road to a pumping station behind a fence in a residential neighborhood. People don’t know the road is there, thus protecting the value of the lots adjacent to the utility area.

Permeable Pavers were installed in the utility access lane areas at Portage Lift Station, Portage, Indiana, using Grasspave2.
The utility access lane is shown in the foreground and extends toward the street, centered in this photograph. In this area the grass looks excellent.
Pervious Paving was installed in the utility access lane areas at Portage Lift Station, Portage, Indiana, using Grasspave2.
The cut curb is about the only indication of the GP2 area. Due to drought conditions and lack of nutrients, the grass is a little spotty here. You would be amazed at how much nutrients affect grass.
Grass Paving was installed in the utility access lane areas at Portage Lift Station, Portage, Indiana, using Grasspave2.
Double wooden fence gates are shown at the back of the houses. Pumping equipment is housed behind the fence. Grasspave2 allows for a lawn appearance that disguises the access road.
