Project Profile:

Windward School

Project Summary

Concrete cuts through this property so it was important to put fire lane access on both sides of this drainage structure. Additionally, having a fire lane access through the gate on Palms Boulevard allows emergency vehicles to take a short cut from the street directly to buildings.

Windward School has a hidden fire land shown here where this wide section of gate rolls back to the right so that fire trucks can enter from Palms Boulevard over the Grasspave2.
Still on Palms near the corner of Sawtelle Street is a concrete apron leading to a Grasspave2 fire lane. In the next photo you will see a continuation of this grass emergency lane.
This is the same access point as in the previous photo. Double-wide security gates cross over the Grasspave2 emergency lane which is on the north side of the arollo on the other side of the hedge.
Advancing from the previous photo the Grasspave2 fire lane continues toward another set of double-wide gates near the school offices.
On the sosuth side of the arollo and off Sawtelle Street is the third Grasspave2 fire lane whiich enters off a concrete apron and through the similar sliding gate as the first example.
