Project Profile:
Yuma County Detention Center
Project Summary
In May the grass was lush and beautifully green. In June, the 100 degree heat had given the grass a summer look, but still very green looking as you can see in the photographs. The green grass performs another task of cooling the air when irrigated, and also eliminates the reflective heat of hard surfaces. A lot of green around buildings reduces air conditioning costs as well. The front of the Yuma County Detention Center has been photographed many times and the officers are proud of its attractive appearance.

View from entrance toward the Yuma County Court House. It is very easy to see who is coming from and going into the Center.
